Before you play
Is Clockhold free to play?
Yes. Clockhold is free to play in your browser. There is no separate game client to download or install.
Do I need an account?
Sign in with your email using a magic link. No password is needed. Choose a nickname the first time you play; your player keeps your progress and history. Use the same email when you return or switch devices.
What kind of strategy game is Clockhold?
Clockhold combines base building, resource management and tower defense. Gather timber and stone, develop your settlement and defend the Timekeeper against endless enemy waves.
Is it single-player or multiplayer?
Clockhold is single-player. You face enemy waves controlled by the game. The leaderboard compares survival results; there are no shared battles, co-op or PvP.
What device do I need?
A desktop or laptop with a mouse is recommended. You need a modern browser with JavaScript and an internet connection. There is no mobile app to install.
Can I save a run and continue later?
Yes. Progress saves automatically. Sign in with the same email and choose Continue saved game. The game pauses when you leave the tab. Earlier guest players can still continue in their original browser or use their saved recovery key; older incompatible saves remain history only.
Can I pause the game or switch tabs?
Yes. Use Pause to stop the whole game, or Save & exit to leave. Switching tabs or leaving the window also pauses the game; choose Resume when you return. The Timekeeper is a separate combat freeze that uses its limited reserve while workers keep going.
How long is a game, and what counts toward my score?
There is no fixed match length: the siege continues until the Timekeeper falls or you end the run. Your score counts focused, active siege time; frozen and background time do not count.
